eSeoBay is a program sellers can use to market their eBay listings for a small fee.

There are a number of high-profile software tools that help you create and post eBay listings either one at a time or in batches. eSeoBay is different than those tools. This is to be used after your listing has posted. You simply provide the program with the unique identification number for the listing, and the program will do what it does to increase visibility of the item. According to the developer, sellers can increase the sell rate on their items by about 50 percent, which is tremendous if true.

The eSeoBay program is free to download, install, and use. Installation is simple, and the app is easy to use. In fact, the UI is little more than a dialog box with a text box to enter your listing ID and a button to submit. The service itself is not free; however, it costs about $2 per listing. You can either configure the program with your payment information or configure it with your email address; in which case, the service will send you an email requesting payment before it proceeds.

Whether or not this is worthwhile depends on a number of factors. It doesn’t make sense for standalone listings with small profit margins, but it could make sense for high-dollar items or when you’re able to sell multiple items through a single item. The other issue is: how does the service work and how well does it work? Both questions are difficult to answer. The program name implies SEO techniques, but where are these posts being made, how do they reflect on your eBay store brand and how effective the approach is overall is anyone’s guess and the developer doesn’t seem to be talking.
